12th Anniversary

Today is our 12th anniversary! Wow! We have came so far from that day. Honestly, I can't believe that he has put up with me that long. I know that I'm not the easiest person to live with. Brent is a awesome husband. I could not have asked for more. He supports our family and has supported everything (jobs, hobbies, etc.) that I have ever wanted to do. He has never said a harsh word to me or the children. He is the spiritual leader of our household. I'm truly blessed to have such a husband. I thank the Lord everyday for him! Today as we go to church we will be at the same church that we said our do's in! Sorry about the pic. it is small. I had to scan it (we didn't have digital cameras back then) so it didn't turn out like I would have liked it to. And there is a bunch of space at the bottom that I can't get rid of. And of course the better pics are in a scrapbook.

HAPPY ANNIVERSARY, BRENT!

Here is a purse that I found at Walmart, I embroidered it for Brent's sis Kenleigh. She had a birthday in May. I know it's a little late. Koutnee, I know that I told you I was going to do a bathing suit cover up last time I talked to you, but I saw this and figured that she could use it more. I hope she likes it. Kourtnee email me and let me know what you think of the K.

Here is what the kids have been making. We bought a large tub of those beads that you iron together. Do you guys remember mking them when you were kids? The kids have made several. They decided to hang them from under Will's bed in the little reading area.

WALL E

So we just came back from the movie WALLE. I can say is is not my kind of movie. The kids liked it. Pretty much two robots fall in love. If I had to rate it, I would give it a 2.5 out of 5. I'm sure the kids would give it a 4 or 5. If the kids wanted to rent it after it comes out, I would get it for them but I don't think I could sit through it again!! If you are wondering it is a very clean movie and no bad words. That is why I gave it a 2.5.

Saving money

So while I was at Hobby Lobby the other day I found some boxes that were covered with fabric that was pink and green the colors that we are going to do Faith room in. (We will be painting it on 4th of July weekend.) They were oh so cute! And so was the price tag! $19.99 each. I know that they go 50% off fairly often but I still didn't want to pay $10. So, while I was cooking I thought that I would use some old shoe boxes and see how they would work. I found two in the garage. (These are the boxes that I just told Brent to throw away and he say, "You're going to throw them away, we could use them for something.") He was right. I even like them better because the lid only opens on one side. That means I won't find the lid in one place of her room and the box in another!!. The ones at HL has 2 bows. I thought that I would put a monogrammed covered button on them for her. Oh and I forgot to tell you that the fabric was FREE. It was given to me about a year ago. I saved Brent $40.

Enjoying Summer

Well we've been enjoying our Summer! We have kept busy. Here is a pic of what I have been doing for the last 2 days. I sorted and organized 5 photo boxes of photos. While I was sorting a lot of the pic didn't have dates so I had to sort by houses that we lived at. I also did about 9 scrapbook pages. Kourtnee, the one in the pic is from Christmas day and your Dad's with the silly string! That was fun. So now I'm about a year and a half from being caught up! I will try and do more today!

Here is Faith and Will with her dog. She has knitted him some clothes! She is very proud of them. We went to Hobby Lobby and pick out several yarns that were on sale for 99 cents. They also talked me into buying more craft things to do this summer. We love Hobby Lobby. I might need to invest some stock into them since we spent so much money there. HA!

In the evenings we've been going walking and then staying outside playing football and just hanging out as a family. Tuesday I had to go to a yearly Dr. appt. Last year after this same kind of appt. I decided it was time to take better care of myself. After the weigh in it really bothered me. I was almost the same weight that I was while I was pregnant. Well in one year I have lost over 20lbs. So now I have set a goal for myself to lose another 20 by my next appt. We don't have a lot planned for the next week. Tomorrow I'm going to take the kids to the movie Wally. I hope that it's good. I will have to let you know.

Football today

Today I took Will to his first day of football camp at the college here. It's a three day camp and the football players help train them. Will was so excited. When we got there we had to sign in and after we signed in the coach told him that he was on the Vols (UT) team. Needless to say his facial expression was priceless. He doesn't like UT at all. He loves Arkansas. I told him it was just for 3 day and he could handle it. When I picked him up from camp today he said that he had so much fun. Today they fed them a Chick fil a sandwich and a 6 pc. nugget meal with chips and drink. Tomorrow is Subway and on Wed. they get 4 slices of pizza. Sounds to me like they are eating good. Maybe I should have signed up for the camp if they are feeding them that good. HA!
I took Faith to her golf lessons. She had fun. Tomorrow her and I are going to go out to eat since Will is gone. I'm also going to try and get something done around the house. It seems like something always gets in the way or I get something done then other areas of the house get messy. It's a never ending cycle. It drives me crazy! Well I better head to bed. Six o clock has been coming early. I've also been trying to work for about a hour on some courses for work. I have about 40 hours that I need to have done before the end of summer. I have done about 12 hours. At least I feel like I've been getting somewhere with that.

Here is a pic of the first purse that I made. I made it today. It took me about 2 hours to do. I haven't ever sewn anything but pillows and a button here and there. I must say it was easier than I thought that it would be!
Here is the volcano in our room at VBS. It's a Christmas tree under the paper.

Here is a waterfall.

Here is a pic of our ocean wall.

Busy Weekend

Yesterday was packed with a game and a B Day party. Well, and a little cleaning. I didn't get as much done as I would have liked. Today we left the house at 9 for church and got home a little after 9 pm. We are having VBS this week and we were decorating our classroom all afternoon, Then we went out to eat with some friends from church. Brent and I along with another person will be teaching 5th grade. We have not ever taught this grade. I'm use to preschoolers and he's use to adults. I'm sure we will have fun. We got into our room and started decorating it and kept adding on. The men were having a ball. I will have to take some pics tomorrow so you can see it. It took 3 of us 5-6 hours to do it. We had a great time. So since we have VBS I don't know how much I will be blogging this week. Tomorrow it their first golf lesson in the morning. Faith is so excited.

Golf

Today I went and signed both of the kids up for golf!!! They both had been going with Brent on the weekend. So I thought that I would put them in a class to learn more about it. (Brent can only teach them so much!!)
Will had purchased his club by himself. He saved the money and bought them a couple of months ago. If course I tried to discourage him from doing this because I thought they would sit in the garage and collect dust. Well it gave Brent a reason to go out and golf. Pretty soon after they started they talked Faith into going and she liked it too. We went and got her clubs today. She has been outside most of the day practicing. Let me just say, she can hit that ball!! I have not yet went and played but now I guess that will be going. Brent already asked if we wanted to go after Will's game on Saturday.

Playing around

Last night I was playing on the computer and wanted to see if that smilebox would work. I know that I repeated pics but I wasn't sure if I could figure out how to get it to here. They are old pic. I may have to look into doing another one some other time. Now if I could just figure out how to add music to my blog. If you know please let me know. Is it FREE?

I have kept the flowers ALIVE!!!

Today we went swimming at a friends house. The kids had a blast. I forgot to take my camera so sorry no pictures of them swimming. But I do have these pics for you today. I took the pics because I wanted you to see my beautiful purple flowers. I got 2 and hung them on each side of the doorway. But, the point of the pic is I have kept them ALIVE!!!! I have had them about 2 weeks. I went to KY and bought them from an Amish family. They have the most beautiful flowers there and very reasonable. I water them every morning. You can also see the ferns. I did have 6 of them hanging up front but Brent said that it looked like a jungle So I took 2 down. I have kept them alive for about 3 weeks. My mom found the ferns at Lowes for .50 cents! Yes, I said for .50 cents. Do you see that nice bench. Brent made it for me last summer. He did a good job. Well, one leg is shorter than all the others! I hope to paint it white this summer. I'm waiting for him to finish sanding it!

looking back

Well I started looking back in pics for the one with the plastic bat and ball. I couldn't find it, I didn't have a digital camera then. Just a regular camera. But I did come across these pics. This is his first year in T Ball two years ago. He was so tiny then.
I know what most of you are thinking! Wow! she is posting and she is up late!! It is almost 12:30 and I am wide awake. We went to Chick fil a with some friends after the game and I drank too much sweet tea. I love their tea. We got there a little bit before 8 and left at 10. Two hours of drinking tea.
My goal is to try and post everyday for a month since it's summer. So I will warn you a head of time who knows what will pop up on here.

Take me out to the ballgame....

Here is Faith at the game. It was very windy and her hair was everywhere. Her eyes look so blue in this picture. She doesn't really like the games but does enjoy running around with some of the other sisters.
Will out in left field

Will catching. I don't know if you can see it but the ball had just went into the glove.

Up to bat!

He tipped the ball here see it on the ground!

After he hit the ball, running to first.

We love ball season! Well not Faith, It is fun just to watch the boys bat and to see how much they have improved in just months. Will has liked baseball since he was about 3. I remember buying him his little plastic bat and ball. Then came T Ball. That was fun. They weren't sure where to throw the ball, where to go after hitting the ball. That was just fun, no scores were kept. Well now it's pee wees. This is a whole new ball game. It is very serious stuff.! They want to win. They know where to throw the ball. He enjoys it very much, he likes to go out and have fun. We have a couple more games and it will be sad to see the season end. We have made such good friends and it's just good family fun. I will not miss the hot days of sitting there for hours. But I will miss watching them play as a team. After baseball comes football. I will be letting you know how that goes. That is really where his love is.
