New Journey for us.

Our family will be starting a new journey. We have been praying for a while about this and have an amazing peace about it. Brent has applied to go to seminary at Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary in Wake Forest, North Carolina. This is something that God has been working on Brent for years but like Jonah we have ran from what God has wanted us to do. I have joked before that there was no way that I could be a pastors wife since I could not sing or play the piano. If all goes well and he gets accepted we plan on being there for the Fall semester 2011. That means moving in July or August. We have so much to do like getting the house ready for sale. Pretty much we will be selling almost everything. We will be living on campus housing which is a lot smaller than what we are use to. I will be the main provider. Well God will be the Provider. I know that He is going to provide me with a job that will get us through this journey. I'm not sure how much blogging I will be doing but I will at least try and blog enough to keep everyone up to date on what is going on. Please pray for us as we allow God to lead us in this new direction.
This morning we told our Sunday School class. Then tonight we went forward and told the church that we will be surrendering to Gods will to go to seminary. The support from everyone is so over whelming. And of course we have the support of both of our families. Thanks for the prayers. Please keep praying for us. Even though I have a great peace about it I am scared about it too. It will be hard leaving what is so familiar to us, family, friends and our church home that we love so much!

I admire your obedience ~ So many of us love God and say we would do anything for Christ...but so few of us act - obey - leave to make disciples. I will keep you and your families in my prayers. You will be missed.

I am so thrilled for your family and the journey you are about to begin!! It is so scary to step out on faith, but so exciting at the same time. I cannot wait to see/hear what God is going to do over the months and years to come in your family's lives. What a testimony of your LOVE for serving Jesus!

We are so thrilled for you but so selfishly sad at the same time! We will miss you! Promising to pray and know God is going to show up and show out in your lives. He has already done so much. This is gonna be a fun ride! :)
