Teacher Appreciation Week

May 3rd-9th is teacher appreciation week and May 5th is teacher appreciation day. I do appreciate Faith and Will's teachers so much. They take great care of my kids through out the day. I wanted to make them some gifts to let them know that they are appreciated. They will get a gift everyday through out the week. Here is a treat container that I did for them. I used my Cricut to cut out the letters out of vinyl. I put the white paper in the container so that you could see what it said. I also added 2 bags of candy.

Here is some water with a drink mix and 3 little Milky Ways wrapped up. The water has a tag on it that says, "Thanks for quenching the thirst for knowledge" and the Milky Way wrapper says, "You are out of this world"

Here is some microwave popcorn wrapped up and an envelope that has 75cents in it so that they can go and get a coke from the coke machine. The popcorn says, "Just popping on by to say you're a great teacher. The envelope says, "Pop, pop, fizz, fizz. Oh what a great teacher you is!" I know that it is not correct English but it sounds cute.

Here are some candles that I used my Cricut machine to do the letters on. It has a tag that says "Thanks for letting your light shine"

Here is some bath salt. It says, "Some days can be a strain on your body and your brain, so when you feel stressed, a hot bath is best, it truly will help keep you sane."

Here is some clipboards that have paper glued down to it and some pencils. The tag on the pencils says, "Pencils are #2 because teachers are #1."

This is the backside of the clipboard.

I hope that you will let your child's teacher know that you appreciate them with a note of thanks.

Quilts that my mom made.

Here is a quilt that my mom made for Will. It is a sports quilt of course. He loves it. It is so beautiful. I'm so lucky to have such a talented mother.

Here is the quilt that she made for me. It matches my bedroom. I LOVE IT! Faith's is next. She will get hers for her birthday. I got mine for Christmas and Will received his for his birthday.

NEW DSi

Today Faith got the new DSi. This thing is pretty cool. Here is what it can do. Snap photos (two camera lens) with built in camera, edit and send pictures to friends, play back music, and browse the internet. It also does all the stuff like the old ones but you can download games. It has a place for a SD card. Well on to why we posted some pictures. We decided to decorate it with some vinyl. On the top it has her name and a crown. Then we put some hearts on the inside.

A New Tote

Well the kids have been away since Monday. I don't have a lot to show for all the time I have had to myself. Here is one item that I do have to show. This is a tote that I made for myself. The first picture is the inside liner. When I saw this fabric I just knew that I had to have it and make something with it. Well the more that I looked at it I got thinking that it had a lot of white in it and was afraid that it would get dirty quickly. So the Christine at the fabric store showed me this new stuff that you iron onto the fabric. It is a lot like contact paper and heat makes it stick to the fabric. I really do like how it turned out. Then I thought that I would try using my Cricut and make a K and put onto the plastic. In the picture the K looks black but it is brown. We will see how long it stays. I made some travel size shampoo bottles for Faith with a F on them and it has had so much water on it and the letter looks just like it did the day I put it on. I hope to get some scrapbooking and card making done tomorrow. Maybe I will have some pictures of some cards to put on here tomorrow.

Our Snow Day

A couple of Fridays ago we got a little bit of snow and didn't have to go to school. Here are some pictures from that day.

Will throwing snowballs.

These two pictures got in the wrong order. In the picture below Faith is holding the sled while Will cleaned all the snow off the truck and onto the sled. Well Faith stood there for a while for him to do this and let it get full and then threw it all back up on him. I wish I would have gotten a picture of that. The picture above is after she threw it on him. She ran as soon as she threw it on him. It was very funny!
Here is a picture of Faith right after she threw the sled of snow on Will.
Will thought that he really needed to clean the snow off the truck......

Will's Long Hair

Here is a picture of Will's long hair. He is going to go and get a hair cut on Sunday. On Saturday he is going to his teachers wedding. She wants to take a picture with all the students after the wedding. Don't want him in a picture with his shaggy hair.
